As for stories it was poor but i mean it s a language learning book so you need to put weird plots that don t make sense just to add a sentence you think is fun to learn. s but igotta say it was NOT fun to read Paperback The format of this book is good but the literary quality is atrocious You can write simple prose without making the plots ridiculous and the dialogue super weird The only story that had any good qualities was the Viking story the modern time ones especially the first were unfortunately really bad Paperback Highlighting the important vocab and adding questions at the end of each story is useful but the stories make absolutely no sense Weird plots and ridiculous characters. Paperback I studied basic German some 25 years ago I was losing it quickly due to lack of practice and i wanted to improve it to be able to read some books i have The stories in this book are quite simple but easy to follow and i recovered some words i had forgotten and i learnt a lot A good bit of practice Moving on to the next level Paperback.
