Creighton King i am at your service Rina Kent really stepped up with the second instalment of this series and no one could be happier than me the previous book was such a disappointment and when it was revealed this was Creigh and Anni s book i needed it to be better and it was. Nezarec final god of pain mechanics the first half of this was hands down five stars the second half of this kinda let the book down i think the conflict was far too severe i still don t understand how not just Creigh and Anni were meant to come back from all of that shit but the whole ensemble of characters the book just took an overly dramatic turn that soured my adoration for the romance but i can t sit here and say i still didn t eat it all up because i did it was fast paced addictive and so fun this is what the first book was missing so even if i found the plot twists convoluted and pretty dumb id take that over being bored so the shining star of the book were the two MCs and the romance eurghhhh like you can t tell me this isn t Annika and Creigh i loved the way they both blossomed and changed pushed each other to be better and to embrace parts of themselves they never previously allowed themselves they re a lot like Lia and Adrian that way although some of the parallels and nods to Annika s parents were a bit excessive and they re my babies so that s saying something Adrian and Creigh both being jealous of Yan was so fucking funny though i don t think the book hits as hard if you re not a Volkov whore but i am one so it s okay but anyways yeah i loved the development of Annika and Creigh as people they fought so hard for each other that i wanted to sob at times my god especially come of Creigh s big speeches that man is a poet like Creigh coming for the girlies necks was iconic of him he really said don t come for my girl because i will fuck you up especially boring bitch Glyndon So do not under any circumstances attempt to make Annika feel bad about choosing herself he really is her defender im weeping AND WATCHING HIS GRUMPY ARSE BE SO SOFT WITH HER the whole debacle with Tiger the car had me throwing myself against a wall peak romance people the way he only laughs when he s around her THEIR POWER Since when do you do that Since you You also laughed I only laugh around you I stroke my fingers through her hair massaging her scalp.
